SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — A new nonstop Allegiant flight begins service from Sarasota airport Wednesday.

The new route will connect Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) to Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG) in New York.

One-way fares for the new route start at $52. To get the deal, travelers must purchase their tickets by June 14 for travel by Sept. 19.

Avelo Airlines’ first flight out of Lakeland Linder International Airport departs Thursday

“Following great travel demand, we are thrilled to expand our service at SRQ and offer affordable travel options to visit Plattsburgh, New York,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief revenue officer. “This route connects travelers to the people and places that matter most to them and we expect customers will enjoy our unique brand of travel: all nonstop flights without the hassle of layovers or connections.”

Allegiant said the flight will operate twice weekly.
