GUADALUPE COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Santa Rosa says they’re closing Blue Hole for maintenance. The closure is scheduled to last two days, from Monday, April 15 through Tuesday, April 16.

During the closure, there will be no swimming and no scuba diving at the site. Blue Hole will reopen for recreation on Wednesday, April 17.

Blue Hole is a natural artesian spring where many New Mexico-based divers become scuba certified. At the bottom of the 81-foot deep spring, there is a sealed entrance to a small cave. Crews are planning on replacing that cave cover, Visit Santa Rosa says.
