Around 4:27 p.m., Santa Clarita Sheriff’s deputies reported to a call that a vehicle slammed into a pole and swerved off into a ditch in Canyon Country, according to Melanie Flores of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

When the deputies arrived on the scene of Golden Triangle Road and Carl Boyer Drive, they discovered a single vehicle that hit a pole and ended up in a ditch.

To get the vehicle out of the ditch, deputies closed part of Golden Triangle Road to allow crews to extract the car safely.

While deputies were blocking traffic, two vehicles attempted to pass them and were immediately scolded for trying to go around them and into the area of the clean-up crew.
