Identity released of pedestrian struck, killed while stopped on SR-201 with car troubles
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (KUTV) — Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed on SR-201 Thursday morning after stopping due to car troubles. According to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden, the incident happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. on May 16. Tiffany Smith, a 42-year-old woman from Murray, Utah, was driving eastbound on SR-201 near milepost 13, just east of Bangerter Highway in West Valley City. She pulled over in the left lane, likely due to a flat tire, and exited her vehicle.
