Woman killed in crash on state Route 201 while fixing a flat tire
SALT LAKE CITY — A woman was killed in a crash on state Route 201 just east of Bangerter Highway. Eastbound SR-201 was closed for over two hours. According to Sgt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol, a white Chevy Malibu was stopped in the left lane with a flat tire when another car, a Honda Odyssey hit the pedestrian and the stopped car.

Sandy eyes forecast with runoff expected to increase
SANDY — Eyes were on the forecast Thursday with a key reservoir sitting at capacity, and runoff waters expected to pick up in intensity in the weeks to come. According to Sandy City Public Utilities assistant director Scott Ellis, the current setup and forecast—with highs ranging from the low 80s to mid 60s over the next 10 days—is trending toward a smooth runoff season.
