Scenes From Alta Ski Area's Closing Day

On April 21, Alta Ski Area wrapped up its 86th season. Thousands came to celebrate closing day and the annual Frank World Classic with silly outfits, live music, dance parties, and lots of shenanigans. Skiers started early with beer pong competitions in the Wildcat parking lot and stayed well into the evening grilling and dancing. The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile made a special appearance and there was no shortage of hot dogs to go around. The snow was outstanding and plenty of skiers were there to take advantage of the last opportunity for lift-served turns at Alta this season. Some braved the Ballroom's big red snake wiggle and some made their way up the Wildcat lift to compete or spectate Alta's infamous Frank competition.
