Spring Weekend 2024 anticipated by students
This weekend is St. Bonaventure University’s annual Spring Weekend. This event is held for students to unwind and celebrate the end of the academic year. Students have various opportunities to participate in activities such as a kickball tournament, inflatables, bingo, karaoke and s’mores under the Marchiori Pavilion, outside of Devereux Hall.
EVL Village Life: Ray Evans Theater
An Ambitious Musical Coming to the Ray Evans Theater. The last time I interviewed Cattaraugus Country Living Arts Association’s (CCLAA) Rhayne Smith, she was a cast member in last year’s production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. That was last August. This time, this diminutive theater dynamo is taking on the role of director of the musical Tick, Tick… Boom! currently running as a movie on Netflix. The show will take place at the Ray Evans Theater in Salamanca, NY, the first two weekends in May.

One Person Hospitalized After Olean Fire
OLEAN, NY — After a fire occurred at 623 Seneca Ave. early Wednesday morning, one person was hospitalized for evaluation at Olean General Hospital. Firefighters were dispatched at 2:36 a.m. and arrived within four minutes to find heavy fire in the rear of the structure. Olean police officers assisted in the evacuation of the occupants.
