Hopkins St. Louis Park Sun Sailor Looking Ahead for the week of April 25

Baseball Friday

A full round of Lake Conference baseball is set for 6:30 p.m. start times Friday, April 25. Edina hosts St. Michael-Albertville at Braemar Park, Wayzata entertains Hopkins at the high school field and Minnetonka plays Buffalo at Veterans Field.

Park will host New Prague on Thursday with first-pitch set for 6:30 p.m. at Dakota Park before traveling to Parade Stadium to face Minneapolis Southwest at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Orioles close out the month at Chanhassen with a 6 p.m. start on Tuesday in a Metro West Conference contest.

Hamline Elite Meet

The best high school track athletes from all three Minnesota enrollment classes gather for the annual Hamline Elite Meet at 3 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Hamline University in St. Paul. Qualifiers are expected from all seven Lake Conference schools in this boys and girls meet.

Lake fastpitch

All seven Lake Conference girls fastpitch softball teams are in action in 4:30 p.m. games Monday, April 29. Hopkins travels to Buffalo, Wayzata plays at St. Michael-Albertville, Minnetonka takes on Eden Prairie at EP’s Miller Park and Edina plays a non-conference game against Holy Angels at Pamela Park in east Edina.

Another round of fastpitch softball is set for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, when Wayzata hosts Buffalo, St. Michael-Albertville visits Minnetonka and Edina plays Eden Prairie at Miller Park.

Park hosts New Prague at Aquila Park on Monday before traveling to Hopkins on Tuesday. Both games start at 4:30 p.m. The Orioles host Benilde-St. Margaret’s to close out three games in three days on Wednesdy with first-pitch set for 7 p.m.

Tennis Tuesday

Three Lake Conference boys tennis matches are scheduled for 4 p.m. starting times Tuesday, April 30. St. Michael-Albertville travels to Round Lake Park to play Eden Prairie, Buffalo visits Wayzata and Minnetonka hosts Edina.

Park hosts Waconia and Roosevelt on Thursday and Friday at the high school courts at 4 p.m. before traveling to Richfield for a non-conference match on Monday at 4 p.m. only to return home to face New Prague at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lake lacrosse

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, Lake Conference lacrosse teams play doubleheaders at three locations. In each case, the girls games are first. The pairings are Eden Prairie at Hopkins, Minnetonka at Wayzata and St. Michael-Albertville against Edina at Edina’s Kuhlman Field.
