UPDATE: Huntsville police release identity of suspect accused of shooting woman, fleeing scene
The Huntsville Police Department has released the identity of the suspect accused of shooting a woman at Hunter's Ridge Apartments Monday. As of Tuesday about 1:45 p.m., police say they are working to obtain warrants for 27-year-old David Evans' arrest. No further updates are available at this time. From earlier:
Huntsville cleanup crews remove more than one million pounds of storm debris
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Huntsville city officials say cleanup crews removed 1.4 million pounds of debris after severe storms swept through the area. Public Works Director Chris McNeese projected crews will gather about the same amount of debris on Friday and Saturday. The city expects the majority of debris to be removed early next week as crews continue to remove damaged trees.

Huntsville woman indicted for 2022 murder
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A woman arrested in 2022 for the murder of a man in Huntsville was indicted by a grand jury this month. Shirley Logan is accused of killing 45-year-old Anthony Wilson in September 2022. Police say they arrived to a home on Sparkman Drive and found Wilson’s body. Investigators later found out the shooting stemmed from a domestic incident and believe Logan shot him during the argument.
