Ask a Trooper: A sticky school bus situation
Question: I have a question about the lawful thing to do in regard to a school bus with lights flashing. If I am driving down a two-lane street with no stop sign and approaching an intersection with a cross street and a bus approaches from the cross street (my left) and stops somewhere before the intersection with red lights activated, should I stop before the through-street (the intersection), or continue on with caution? The law states to stop 20 feet from the bus, but unless you are observant, you might not catch the bus with the lights in operation from the side street.

They have proposed infrastructure changes they claim will improve the experience for all road users. This is not the case. Although the proposed changes will help pedestrians by providing curb extensions and flashing beacons, changes will not help people on bikes. The project can be viewed on MnDOT's website: https://tinyurl.com/vc52hwve.
