    Royals boys golfers third at home

    The Royalton Royals boys golf team had a good showing as it hosted a meet at the Little Falls Golf Course Tuesday, April 30. Overall, the team placed third out of six teams, with a score of 181.

    The teams were playing the back nine of the golf course. Zach Schraut led the team, finishing fourth as an individual and shooting a 40. Nate Spencer followed with a 45. Ben Boyd and Wyatt Plumski tied at 48, Matthew Hollenbeck had a 49 and Nick Block scored a 51.

    The Royals also competed at the Vintage Golf Course in Staples Saturday, April 27. The team took fourth place with a score of 380.

    Schraut placed fifth with a score of 82. Block shot a 95, Boyd a 99 and Spencer with a 104.

    The Royals also took fourth place at a meet in Kimball Thursday, April 2024. Boyd led with a 47, followed by Brock Starry and Spencer tying at 49. Reed Wanhala and Block tied at 51 and Matthew Hollenbeck finished with a 54.

    The Royals will compete at Koronis Hills Golf Course in Paynesville Tuesday, May 7.
