Former Unadilla Man Admits to Failing to Register Address After Moving to Binghamton
A former Delaware County resident who recently moved to Binghamton knows his punishment after failing to update his address. According to the Delaware County District Attorney, Cachet Fernandez pleaded guilty to one count of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Fernandez admitted he had been previously convicted of a crime which required him to register his address within 10 days of moving and that he had indeed failed to update his address change with the NYS Sex Offender Registry within 10 days as required when he left the county from Unadilla to Binghamton.

Greene County man charged with DWI after crash
An Athens, Greene County man is accused of driving while intoxicated and crashing his vehicle on Saturday. Eric Helmedach, 59, of Athens, was found after a crash in the northbound off-ramp of Exit 21 of the Northway in Lake George, just before 8:30 Saturday evening, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
One Dead After Single-Vehicle Crash in Town of Franklin
A Delhi man is dead after a one-vehicle crash over the weekend in the Town of Franklin. According to state police, police at Oneonta responded to the scene of a one-vehicle crash near 8371 County Highway 16 just after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 8th. Police say 74-year-old Gjeto Vulaj was traveling south when the vehicle left the road and caught on fire. A family member and another citizen who were traveling behind Vulaj attempted to help him out of the vehicle.
Police investigating bomb threat at Woodstock Library
According to the Town of Woodstock, New York State Police, Woodstock Police, and Saugerties Police are investigating a bomb threat called into the Woodstock Library on Sunday. The Woodstock Public Library District says a staff member received a death threat via email, indicating a bomb was in the library.
