An updated outlook places a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) over Midland, Abilene, San Angelo and Wichita Falls, where storms are expected to start as isolated supercells capable of large hail late this afternoon before merging into an organized line that pushes east into the evening. As that line moves, increasing low-level wind shear will raise the risk for damaging wind gusts and localized, brief tornadoes.
