Austin on Alert for Weekend Weather Woes, Thunderstorms and Possible Severe Conditions Ahead
The city of Austin is bracing itself for a bout of stormy weather, as forecasts predict a series of significant thunderstorms possibly marauding through the region from tonight through the weekend. Austinites can expect a dicey blend of showers and thunderstorms with a 30 percent chance of occurring mainly post-1 pm today, as per the National Weather Service. The weather dance begins with areas of fog before 11 am, giving way to mostly cloudy skies, and an anticipated high near a toasty 85 degrees.

Detectives investigating after man found dead in Southeast Austin near airport
Detectives are investigating after one man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport early Friday. Shortly after midnight, Travis County sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a disturbance involving a gun at a business in the 5600 block of South U.S. 183, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.
