The changes still need approval from […]

Fuel-pump reopening delayed at under-renovation Palm Beach gas station
Palm Beach motorists will have to wait a little while longer to fill up their fuel tanks on the island, as the project to revamp the town's sole gas station is taking longer than originally planned to complete. Fuel pumps at the gas station at 340 S. County Road will open at the earliest sometime in November, with the station's vehicle service shop and convenience store expected to be ready for business after the New Year, owner Alex Griswold said. The service shop is tentatively set to open in January and the store in February, he said. The pumps were originally expected to be in service this month, with the other facilities open by the end of the year. Giswold said construction delays affected the schedule. When fuel services reopen, the renamed Palm Petrol will again resume its status as one of the only gas stations in Florida to offer full-service pumping. Known for years as Gray's Sunoco, the gas station closed its doors June 28 for a renovation project that when completed will give the station a look that will nod at its 1950s-era roots. As of Oct. 12, much of the gas station's exterior and interior had been

Buyers defy superstition, snapping up $8M Residence 13 near Jupiter
Many believe the number 13 is unlucky — so much so airplanes skip the 13th row, hotels skip the 13th floor. So would you live in a 13th building? Despite the superstition-inducing number in its location, a sales representative said would-be buyers jumped at the chance to be the owner of Residence 13 at the Forté Luxe community at 12450 Crystal Cove Place in Martin County just north of the Tequesta border. Most if not all of the marketing for the property, however, says that it sits in Jupiter despite it being just north of the county line. The community, which is still under construction and is to be completed by December, boasts its waterfront property with "Bahama blue water." At the center of it all is Residence 13, which is now under contract after being listed for $7.995 million. "It was our most popular (condo) we a lot of buyers interested, a lot of buyers circling it for a year or more and a couple of them did bring up (the number)," said Seth Mansfield, a sales associate with Douglas Elliman, which is representing sales at Forté Luxe. Mansfield said many would-be buyers asked if there was anyway the
