Police investigate smashed windows at jewelry store in Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) – Police are investigating smashed windows at a jewelry store Wednesday morning in Rocky Hill.

Police said an active burglary was called in around 2:58 a.m. at Golden Opportunities Jewelers, located at 781 Cromwell Ave.

Officers observed the suspect fleeing from the plaza upon their arrival, however, they said a pursuit of the vehicle was not authorized.

Preliminary investigation determined the front window was broken and the business burglarized.

Police said the loss amount is unknown and there have been no arrests as of Tuesday morning.

The Rocky Hill Detective Division responded to the scene and the incident remains under investigation.
