FEMA Reverses Course on Texas Flood Aid: Individual Assistance Opens for 20 Hill Country Counties
Thousands of Texas homeowners and renters who had been navigating flood recovery largely without federal help since July can now apply for FEMA individual assistance. The agency approved Texas's appeal on October 30, clearing a path for residents in 20 counties — including Kerr, Uvalde, and Bexar — to register for aid covering temporary housing, emergency repairs, and replacement of essential household items.
