Whoa, Man! rocks Fountain Park
VAN WERT— “Peony Festival, I love you! Van Wert, I love you guys!” Sunny Taylor told the crowd in Fountain Park on Friday night. Whoa, Man! founder and singer Taylor has been a solo acoustic act at the Festival for the last several years. This year she shared the stage with six other people, three of them female singers—Karis Schwab (keytar), Teresa Lyon (percussion), and Nevera Sandland (keyboards). Taylor also plays rhythm guitar.

Kaitlyn Schmit & Friends open concert series
Kaitlyn Schmit & Friends opened this year’s Delphos Rotary Club Music in the Park concert series on Sunday. The band played to a sizable crowd. The next concert will begin at 6 p.m. on June 23 and features Northwest Ohio’s Electrik Circus. Electrik Circus provides the ultimate in high-energy live entertainment featuring the most popular “Rockers and Ballads” songs of the 80s era. This regional band represents ultra-talented musicians from Findlay, Perryburg, Lima, Fostoria and Fremont. Concessions are available at 5:30 p.m. (CherryRoad Media/Nancy Spencer)

VAN WERT—The Findlay Flatlands Circuit of the Global Methodist church met Tuesday, June 4 at Trinity GMC in Van Wert for a celebration of God’s work in the area. The Circuit brings together 36 Global churches across Northwest Ohio. This was the 2nd Gathering of the year.
