Delivery driver who killed Rochester man in hit-and-run near Bills stadium sentenced to 120 days

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The delivery driver who admitted to killing a Rochester man with his car near Highmark Stadium and leaving the scene was sentenced Thursday.

Khairullah L. Hasein was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 5 years probation. He pleaded guilty in February to one count of leaving the scene of an incident without reporting resulting in death.

According to investigators, Hasein was working as a delivery driver on November 13 when he hit William Young on Southwestern Boulevard, near Stadium Drive. Young, 65, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Police found the damaged vehicle involved in the hit-and-run at Hasein’s home in Buffalo. Prosecutors said there was no evidence that drugs, alcohol, or reckless driving played a role in the incident. Investigators determined Young walked out into the road before he was hit.
