Rochester Music Hall of Fame prepares for induction ceremony

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — You still have a chance to get tickets to this year’s induction ceremony for the Rochester Music Hall of Fame!

The honorees for the 11th class are Rick Beato, Greece Broadway and Disney film star Jennifer Cody, Soul Brothers Six member John Ellison, Jars of Clay members Charlie Lowell and Matthew Odmark, Grammy-nominated musician Scott Mayo, and salsa music pioneer Johnny Vega.

The president of the Music Hall of Fame stopped by News 8 Sunrise to talk about the selection process, including venturing into new categories of music. You can watch Brennan’s interview with Jack Whittier the president of the Hall of Fame in the interview on this page.

The induction ceremony will be on May 5 at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. The ceremony and performances will begin at 7 p.m.
