Softball season ends at bi-district
The Albany Lady Lions saw a frustrating softball season end Friday,April 26 with a 12-0 loss to Anson in a Class 2A bi-district playoff. Albany finished 8-5 in a season that began with just nine players on the roster. While the Lady Lions got off to a good start, winning five of their first six, any momentum dissipated as they went more than a month without playingdue to lack of players. They resumed play in early April, getting in the second half of the District 8-2A schedule.
Sweetwater ISD launches construction for new gym and expanded career programs
Sweetwater, TX — Construction is underway for the Sweetwater ISD bond, which will bring a new gym and expand their career and technical education (CTE) programs. "New buildings will be erected beginning this summer for our new CTE facility, as well as our gymnasium that will be adjacent to the CTE facility," said Janell Martin.
