Three-hour barricade situation in Starr County ends ‘without incident’

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A three-hour long barricade in Rio Grande City has come to an end, according to the Starr County Sheriff’s Office.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a person who was barricaded inside a Rio Grande City residence Wednesday morning.

One person was barricaded in a residence on Pete Solis Road, behind a Circle 7 Express convenience store.

Man’s body found in Port Isabel taxi service garage

Law enforcement say the hours-long situation ended without incident.

Details have not been provided on the person’s identity and their reason for barricading.

Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area at the time.
