Sumter police investigate stabbing death of local man
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — Sumter Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding an early morning stabbing that resulted in the death of a local man. Authorities responded to a domestic-related stabbing incident before 3 a.m. Friday. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 52-year-old Joseph Marion Croft of Camden Highway lying in the road on Broad Street near Broad Court. Croft was pronounced dead at the scene.
