Bluffton High School celebrates three collegiate soccer signings
BLUFFTON, S.C. — While competing for a SCHSL soccer state title, Bluffton High School came together on Tuesday to celebrate three seniors putting pen to paper. Andres Abril signed with Coker University. Michael Boyle signed with Southern Wesleyan University. Federico Guerra signed with Southern Wesleyan University.
Beaufort, WB boys win playoff openers
If Beaufort High’s boys soccer team is going to duplicate its magical run to the Class 3A state finals last season, this time the Eagles will have to do it on the road. They checked off the first stop on the journey Monday night with a 2-0 win at Aynor in the first round, controlling possession throughout before scoring a pair of late goals and locking down on defense to earn a trip to top-seeded Camden on Wednesday.
BA season comes to close

The Beaufort Academy tennis team saw its season end with a 5-4 loss at Mead Hall in the SCISA 1A/2A semifinals Monday, April 30. KJ Browning and Addy Norris each won their singles matches and teamed up for a doubles win, and Aden Harrington and Nathaniel Nash won at No. 2 doubles, but the Eagles needed one more victory to advance to the finals. Girls Soccer Roundup
As the Class 3A soccer playoffs kicked off Tuesday, at least one set of metrics considered Beaufort High’s girls the favorites to win it all. The Eagles held the No. 1 spot in MaxPreps’ computerized rankings, and a meeting with another of the top teams looms in Round 3 — but Beaufort has work to do before worrying about Waccamaw, opening at home Tuesday against Georgetown with a visit from Gilbert or Darlington queued up for Thursday’s second round.
Soccer Recap: Lugoff-Elgin sees their postseason come to a close
Lugoff-Elgin and Bluffton squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lugoff-Elgin had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluffton Bobcats. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, Lugoff-Elgin's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
