Burroughs swimmers competed and succeeded at Finals meet
The Ridgecrest Burroughs Girls & Boys Varsity Swim Teams "finished strong with individual and teamwork" in the Desert Sky League (DSL) Finals at Silverado High School on Wednesday, April 24th, against Adelanto High School, Apple Valley High School, Cobalt Institute, Granite Hills High School, Silverado High School, University Prep, and Victor Valley High School. Each team traveled with only five available and strong swimmers; both finished third but dominated the competition by winning eight league champions, two runner-up league champions, eight personal records, one Girls Division 4 CIF Consideration qualification, and three Boys Division 3 CIF Consideration qualifications. In the first week of May, the teams will compete in numerous individual and relay events in the CIF Divisions 3 and 4 Preliminary at Mt. San Antonio College.
