Where to celebrate 4/20 in Richmond this weekend

The unofficial holiday for getting high (off weed) is this Saturday, and whether you partake β€” or just want plans after the Monument Avenue 10K β€” Richmond has a jam packed day to legally celebrate it.


But first, for our Swifties:

πŸ’Ώ For $20, you can hear the new Taylor Swift album "The Tortured Poets Department" at the Broadberry on Thursday when it drops at midnight.

πŸ₯³ If you can't make it, the Canal Club has another Taylor Swift album release party starting at 8pm. $20 at the door.

Saturday (aka 4/20)

πŸ˜‹ In case you get an early round of the munchies, Main Street Station is hosting Punjabi Mela , a North Indian festival celebrating Punjabi culture with Bhangra dance competitions and food. 11am-8pm. Free.

☠️ Wake and Bake at Main Line Brewery starts at noon with live music from Suggesting Rhythm, a band who sings the Grateful Dead songs. $15 in advance.

πŸ„ Richmond Moon Market's Mushroom Mania is honoring the "cultural significance of the mushroom kingdom" for the seventh year in a row from 12-6pm at Stone Brewing Company, complete with 40+ vendors, food and beer.

πŸͺ΄ The Homegrowers Club of Richmond is having their annual 4/20 celebration at HomeGrown VA from 3-9pm featuring a "THCVA growoff." $10.

🎢 Brambly Park is paying tribute to Tom Petty for their first After Dark show of the year from 9-11:55pm. $12 in advance.

🐍 Cobra Cabana's annual 420 Freakout starts at 4:20pm with a free reggae DJ set followed by performances from three reggae bands starting at 8pm. $10.

πŸŒƒ If you didn't get enough Grateful Dead music at Main Line, Harry's at the Hof has you covered from 8-11pm. The rooftop will have DJ Trapp. $10.
