Kinship helps out dog rescue, group home on Dog's Day Out

Members of Kinship of Rice Lake and Cameron combined two ways in one to volunteer in the community on Tuesday.

"We took Chester, an 11-week-old terrier mix available for adoption through a local rescue, Little Red Barn Dog Rescue, out on a Dog's Day Out," Kinship Executive Director Holly Gonzalez said. "This perfect, little pup wiggled his way into the hearts of the residents at Harmonie Homes, a family-style home in Barron. Chester was a perfect little pup bringing joy and love to the residents."

She added, "The mentees and mentor from Kinship were also able to interact and chat with the residents and learn a little bit about each resident. The mentees enjoyed it so much they were asking when we were coming back before we left the parking lot."
