Library update: Chair yoga, garden program coming up

The Rice Lake Public Library will host another yoga session with Evie from Sacred Dream Studio, located just across the street on Main. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that's done while seated or using a chair for balance, which makes the practice more accessible. Come meet Evie and try chair yoga on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the RCU Community Room.

On Tuesday at 6 p.m., also in the community room, the Rice Lake Garden Club will host speaker Carrie Larson of Beldenville near River Falls. She is a salesperson for many of the Wisconsin and Minnesota garden centers and owner of Sunflowers on 63. She will speak on new plants gardeners can expect to see at garden centers this spring.

The library continues to provide live virtual author talks each month featuring best-selling authors. Pre-register online for the live interviews. Attendants are not visible to the speaker. Recordings also may be watched. The author talks are occurring in partnership with the Library Speakers Consortium.
