Olivia Gifford, daughter of Josh and Carley Gifford, was the senior girl honoree at the March 26 meeting of the Rice Lake Fortnightly Club. The club recognizes her for her academic success, extra-curricular activities and all-around contributions to the community.

Gifford maintains a 3.984 GPA and has been in the National Honor Society from 2022 to the present. She has received academic achievement awards each year. She has gotten the ACE (Accountability, Coachability and Effort) award and lettered in tennis. She has been involved in Future Business Leaders of America from year 2022 to the present, tennis all four years, and soccer.

She has been busy with volunteering her time with community service such as: Coaches vs. Cancer, elementary student help, the Rice Lake Hockey Association, high school dance conference, Beat Parkinson’s Disease workout class, concessions stand worker, and tennis camp coach.

For work experience, the senior has been a caregiver for Home Sweet Home taking care of the elderly, in addition to babysitting for multiple families and working at EBJ Livestock taking care of calves.

When asked what is her most important contribution to either high school or the community, she replied: "My ability to work diligently at school, at my job, and while volunteering, I take a task and accomplish it timely and with full effort. I am able to use my skills to guide the younger students in the school and be a great example of how an educationally motivated student acts."
