Walleye population decline in Oneida County spurs DNR meeting
RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAW) - The decline of the walleye population on a lake in Oneida County will lead to a meeting hosted by the Department of Natural Resouces. It’s open to the public. It’s scheduled for 6 p.m. on June 4 at the DNR Service Center in Rhinelander.
Camp American Legion in Lake Tom debuts accessible ramp for camp store
A camp for veterans in the Northwoods was recently made a little more accessible. Camp American Legion in Lake Tomahawk gives a cost-free Northwoods experience to Wisconsinites who have served or continue to serve, and their families. A wheelchair-accessible ramp was installed to the camp store. Camp Director Jim Klement said it will help disabled veterans have the full experience.
