When the Clarion and DuBois baseball teams took the field at PNC Park on Saturday night in a rematch of the PIAA Class A title game, it was more about soaking in the atmosphere of a Major League Baseball stadium and the opportunity to play in one of the best parks in the country.
Central Mountain Softball beats Dubois Area Senior 5 – 1
DUBOIS-The Central Mountain Varsity softball team bounced back after a tough 3-4 loss on Thursday to beat Dubois 5-1 on Friday evening at Dubois. The Lady Cats struck in the first inning on a lead off single by Cirstyn Watson who scored two batters later on hard single by Harley Kunes. Central Mountain would score their second run of the contest in the top of the fourth inning when Madison Hardy earned a walk, was advanced on another single by Harley Kunes and scored on a single by Taylor Wahlers. Dubois answered with a run in the bottom of the fifth inning but it would be the only run Dubois would score.
