First Honor Flight of 2024 returns home to a welcome at Springfield airport
A large crowd greeted Honor Flight of the Ozarks veterans at the Welcome Home celebration Wednesday night at the Springfield-Branson National Airport. The 81 veterans, 81 guardians and volunteer flight staff agreed that it was a great experience in Washington, D.C. to see the military memorials and make new friendships. Mayor Ken McClure and Congressman Eric Burlison shook hands with each veteran as they deplaned to thank them for their service and welcome them home.
