City College students will learn at University of Baltimore during renovations after vote passes
BALTIMORE -- City College, one of Baltimore City's oldest high schools, will soon send students to the University of Baltimore to learn while renovations are being made.Students and parents voiced support for the move during Tuesday's Baltimore City Public School Board meeting despite the plan coming with some opposition. Some board members worried about inequities for others in the public school system. Honeygo Elementary School honors patriots and defenders
On May 23, Baltimore County Councilman David Marks joined parents and educators in honoring 16 students who participated in the Patriots and Defenders program, which tests pupils on history, citizenship, and geography. Councilman Marks helped start the program as a parent in 2018. "I would like to congratulate all the students and thank the parents and educators who supported them," Councilman Marks commented. Towson High School graduating senior awarded 2024 Students of History Scholarship
TOWSON, MD—Students of History is pleased to announce that Toyosi Dada, a graduating senior at Towson High School, has been awarded the 2024 Students of History Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship, which has been awarded each year since 2017, recognizes a college-bound senior who has excelled in history education. Toyosi will receive a $1,000 scholarship to support her studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she plans to further her education.
