Two vehicle crash at state Route 220 and state Route 32
At 1:21 p.m. deputies from the Pike County Sheriff’s Department responded to the report of an accident that occurred at the intersection of state Route 32 and state Route 220 where a car and a semi-tractor trailer collied. Pike County deputies on the scene and identified a female 27-year-old, Grace York of McArthur, who was operating a 2024 Kia. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Portsmouth Ambulance, Piketon Fire Department, and Pike County EMA were all called to the scene to access the semi-tractor trailer driver and a 200-gallon diesel fuel leak from the truck. No serious injuries were reported, and Ms. York was self-transported to Adena Regional Medical Center for medical observation as a precaution.

Chillicothe, Ohio – Chillicothe Police responded to a report of three dogs running loose in an alley behind 181 Gerber Road on Thursday. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located the three dogs, which had retreated into the backyard of 253 Western Avenue, where they encountered approximately 12-14 other dogs.
Memorial Day Events, Military Graves Tour, and Suicide Prevention Bench
The reason for Memorial Day will be commemorated Monday in several cemeteries. The annual ceremonies will move among six cemeteries to salute the honored dead. Chillicothe man sentenced to prison on attempted murder charge
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Ross County man is facing decades behind bars after being convicted of attempting to kill a man by pinning him against a building with his vehicle. Jason Lytle was found guilty on Wednesday in the Ross County Court of Common Pleas on one count of attempted murder and three counts of felonious assault. He was sentenced to a total of 20 to 28 years in prison.

Arrest made in Chillicothe fire station truck theft
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A 2017 Chevy Silverado was stolen from the Chillicothe Fire Department Station #1 this week. The Guardian previously reported on the brazen theft. According to the police report, the truck’s owner reported the theft after returning from a fishing trip.
