UP Trappers provides more information for expo
ESCANABA — The 65th annual trapper’s convention is set for July 12-13 at the U.P. State Fairgrounds located in Escanaba. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days (all times EDT). Admission is $10 for both days and kids under 12 are free. This family friendly event grows more popular each year (attendance records prove that). Evart takes down Gladstone to make another trip to the state semifinals
CADILLAC - The Evart Wildcats are heading back to East Lansing for the 2nd time in three years after beating Gladstone 9-0 in the state quarterfinal. The Wildcats held a lead early in the game and added to it as the game went on to secure the win. Evart advances to take on Buchanan in the state semifinal.

Rapid River Robotics team heads to Massachusetts
RAPID RIVER, Mich. (WLUC) - A group of Rapid River fourth and fifth graders took their Lego robot and headed to Massachusetts Wednesday night for a weekend competition. A police escort led the Rapid River Robotics team out of town as the group hit the road. They had more than an 18-hour drive ahead of them, and fifth grader Terrell Harris had plans.
