Early childhood educator workshop connects music, mindfulness and compassion
On Friday, May 10, award-winning singer/songwriter Emilia Dahlin, founder of Sing Me a Story, and Kind Mind Founder Lee Sowles, are teaming up to offer a one-day workshop for early child educators, day care providers, and children’s librarians. It’s a sale on children’s books at Skidompha!
All children’s books are on sale at half price from now through Thursday, May 16 at the Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop in downtown Damariscotta. Trail Running Group at Hidden Valley Nature Center
Run for the woods–or rather, in them! All trail runners, new and experienced, are encouraged to join the Spring Trail Running Training Group at Midcoast Conservancy’s Hidden Valley Nature Center. Runners meet up at the HVNC Welcome Center on Wednesdays between 4:30 and 6:30 pm for route recommendations from staff, connecting with a running partner if desired, and the camaraderie of muddy socks and gorgeous trails.
