Toast on Market in New Albany to close on May 19
Toast on Market in New Albany (141 E. Market St., downtown) returned to social media yesterday after a lengthy hiatus to announce it will close for good, effective May 19. The breakfast- and brunch-oriented restaurant originated in the neighborhood about to become better known as NuLu in 2006, changed locations only a short distance away a few years later, and opened a second eatery in New Albany circa 2011.
Many dry hours today; storms return this evening
After a very active evening Tuesday, we’re starting off with much quieter conditions Wednesday. We’ve dried out and fog has developed in the area. Some locations have seen visibility reduced to less than 1/10th of a mile. Areas near and south of the I-70 corridor have seen the greatest impact from fog. Now that the sun is up, this fog will burn off quickly.
A Tornado Watch for central Indiana through 9pm
Be weather aware this evening. A Tornado Watch is in effect for most of central Indiana through 9pm. A line of severe storms will develop across eastern Illinois and move into the state this evening and all modes of severe weather will be possible. The atmosphere will be supportive of the potential to develop very large hail along along with tornadoes, some which could be strong. Damaging winds are also a threat along with the potential for some flooding.

NEW ALBANY, In. (WDRB) -- New Albany based Board and You hit big at the Kentucky Derby with its biggest business deal yet. The custom charcuterie company made 7,100 graze boxes and 500 charcuterie boxes in various sizes to serve to horse trainers, owners, Millionaires Row and various suites at the track.
Quiet today, storm threat tomorrow and Wednesday
Clouds this morning move out later in the day with sunshine expected this afternoon, especially after 4PM. Most will stay completely dry, but showers in central Indiana could extend slightly further north this afternoon, giving areas south of US-30 the chance for a few raindrops. Temperatures in the upper 40s this morning rise into the mid 70s this afternoon.
