QUEEN CITY

Queen City hosted the J.K. Hileman Relays on Mar. 21, and got some events in before rain wiped out the rest of the meet. Field events were canceled before the running events began.

Varsity Boys

The varsity boys were up by 10 points with 107 before the meet was called off due to wet weather.

In the 100m dash Charlie Campbell-Kirkland placed fourth at 11.57; in the 400m dash Lathan Chamblee placed second at 55.55 and Hunter parker placed fourth at 56.53; in the 800m run Isaac Thomas placed third at 2:16.70 and Caleb Kimble placed sixth at 2:22.85; in the 1600m run Xavior Allsion and Timothy Brady placed 3-4 with times of 5:14.78 and 5:24.19 respectively; in the 3200m run Allison and Brady placed 2-3 with times of 11:26.18 and 11:33.75; in the 110m hurdles Trevonne Horsley placed first at 17.59 and Bryce Belk placed fifth at 18.76 and in the 300m hurdles Horsley placed first at 45.62 and Belk placed fifth at 48.74.

The 4x100m relay team of Jeremiah Henderson, Nickolas Herring, Campbell- Kirkland and Daketrick Smith placed first at 43.90 and the 4x400m relay team of Parker, DJ Henson, Herring and Smith placed second at 3:42.72.

Varsity Girls

The varsity girls were in second place before the meet was canceled.

In the 200m dash Jemecia Cook placed third at 28.45 and Ava Norton placed fifth at 28.83; in the 400m dash Serenity Oden placed third at 1:07.27 and Brooke Garner placed fourth at 1:07.60; in the 1600m run Tasia Andrews placed fourth at 6:47.14; in the 100m hurdles Mallory Hamilton placed second at 18.15 and in the 300m hurdles Hamilton placed sixth at 57.05.

The 4x100m relay team of Oden, Garner, Cook and Makayla Wilson placed third at 53.49; the 4x200m relay team of Norton, Kerian Thomas, Dori Sasser and Wilson placed third at 1:58.24 and the 4x400m relay team of Sasser, Oden, Garner and Cook placed second at 4:41.84.

JV Boys

The JV boys’ team was in first place before the cancellation.

In the 100m dash DJ Parker and Kamron Andrews placed 2-3 with times of 12.03 and 12.16 respectively; in the 200m dash Andrews placed third at 24.65 and Jason Joffray placed sixth at 25.18; in the 400m dash James Gladden placed first at 58.35 and Andrews placed second at 59.15; in the 800m run Gladden placed second at 2:25.34 and Dion Metzger placed sixth at 2:36.58; in the 1600m run Metzger and Cameron Clarke placed 1-2 at 5:44.59 and 5:49.00 respectively; in the 3200m run Metzger placed first at 12:16.28; in the 110m hurdles Jeremiah Jones placed second at 21.50 and Chris Brown placed fourth at 21.92 and in the 300m hurdles Brown placed fifth at 52.53.

The 4x100m relay team of Malaki Richardson, TJ Guest, Trenton Belk and DJ Parker placed third at 47.15; the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed second at 1:41.00 and the 4x400m relay team of Gladden, Richardson, Guest and Belk placed second at 4:09.71.

Bloomburg

Bloomburg’s Jacee Glasgow was the only Lady Wildcat competitor since the field events were canceled. Glasgow placed first in the 100m hurdles at 17.21.
