Woodbridge uses fourth quarter rally to top Laurel, 14-7, in state quarterfinals
Last Friday night’s state quarterfinal football game between Laurel and Woodbridge wasn’t high scoring, but it didn’t lack action, especially in the fourth quarter. Laurel took a 7-6 lead before the homestanding Raiders answered with a scoring drive that including a fake punt on fourth down and a 36-yard pass. Woodbridge’s defense stood tall in the game’s final minutes to seal the 14-7 win and a berth in the state semifinals this Saturday at noon at Archmere Academy.
