Man dead after rollover crash in Grant County

POTOSI, Wis. -- A 93-year-old Potosi man is dead after a rollover crash Tuesday afternoon in Potosi.

Police say, the man was identified as Wilbert E. Post who was traveling east on County Highway B, when his 2000 Ford Ranger left the road and traveled onto the right shoulder. Police say Post over corrected, crossed the pavement and into the left ditch where the vehicle rolled multiple times.

Post was trapped inside the vehicle and was pulled out by the Potosi Jaws Unit.

The Potosi Rescue Squad took Post to the Lancaster airport where he was taken to UW Madison by Med Flight.

The Sheriff's Office was later notified Post did not survive the crash.

Assisting at the scene was the Potosi Rescue Squad, Potosi Fire Department, Potosi Jaws Unit, Med Flight, Grant County Emergency, and Arrow Towing.
