Tornado and severe risk Sunday
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Several rounds of severe weather likely on Sunday morning and again Sunday evening. The Storm Prediction Center has a level 3 of 5 risk for the entire region. The first round of storms will move through between 8am and noon. In addition to the tornado and damaging wind/hail threat, flash flooding may be a concern as heavy rains may dump an inch or more rainfall over localized spots. A few individual severe storms are possible during the afternoon, and the second severe line will sweep across the Tri-State between 6pm and midnight with all severe hazards. The storms finally exit the region late Sunday. Memorial Day should be partly sunny and not as humid with highs in the upper 70s. Mainly dry and pleasant for much of the work week.
