State Champs! Beeville CTE program dominates state meet
Beeville Independent School District (BISD) students showcased their skills and talents at the recent SkillsUSA State Championships held across multiple locations in Corpus Christi. At the April 23rd Commissioners Court meeting, Commissioner Shelby Dupnik addressed the court about the Records Retention Building that has not come into fruition. Current records are still being held in the old retention building since they were placed there in 2014. The topic had been brought up to Dupnik by concerned community members.
A&M-CC professor chosen to participate in NASA Mars simulation
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An assistant professor of engineering at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi was recently named as an alternate to participate in a simulated mission to Mars. Jose Baca, along with a four-person crew, will have the opportunity to live and work like astronauts inside NASA's Human Exploration Research Analog at the Johnson Space Center in Houston for 45 days.
