    Point Pleasant man pleads guilty to felony ‘escape’

    POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mason County man has pled guilty to charges of “escape,” authorities say.

    According to Mason County Prosecuting Attorney Seth Gaskins, an incident occurred last fall in which Christopher Henson, 35 years old of Point Pleasant – was accused of attempting to flee custody while in custody at Rivers Health.

    On Monday, June 10, 2024, Henson reportedly pled guilty to the felony offense of “escape,” a conviction for which he could face up to five years in prison.

    Heson is expected to see sentencing in Mason County court next month.

    Prosecutor Gaskins expressed his thanks to Officer C.L. Riffle of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office for his work in helping to bring the defendant to justice.
