Child struck by vehicle in Point Comfort while waiting for school bus

POINT COMFORT, Texas - A child was struck by a vehicle in Point Comfort Thursday morning while waiting for a school bus, first reported by 25 News Now meda partner The Port Lavaca Wave.

The child was transported to a Houston hospital and is expected to be discharged, according to the Point Comfort Police Department Sgt. Cheryl Grall.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, at the San Jacinto Street school bus pickup spot. It is unclear where the child was when the accident happened.

At this point in the investigation no charges have been filed, said Grall. The investigation remains ongoing.
