Man dies follow officer involved shooting at Denzil Stewart Nature Park
LOGAN — A man died following an officer involved shooting in the Island neighborhood Wednesday, May 15. The incident occurred at Denzil Stewart Nature Park around 4:30 p.m. Logan City Police Chief Jeff Simmons said detectives had contacted an adult male as part of an investigation. While attempting to make an arrest, the suspect began to resist and produced a firearm which he fired at officers at close range.
