Ravenna man convicted of 11 crimes related to 2023 assault
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - A Ravenna man will be sentenced in July for 11 crimes related to alleged sexual assaults in April and May 2023. Brian Reeves, 40, pleaded no contest in a plea bargain. The sexual assault charges were reduced to 3rd degree domestic assault and strangulation. Prosecutors also charged Reeves with crimes in three related cases. The plea bargain included no contest pleas and convictions related to those cases including one count of attempted used of a deadly weapon, two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of false imprisonment, two counts of violating a protection order, one count of witness tampering and one count of misdemeanor third degree assault.

KEARNEY — A pretrial hearing has been set for a Kearney man who has been charged with attempted first-degree murder following a non-fatal stabbing in March 2024. Chance Sanders, 23, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, a Class 2 felony and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

According to CHI Health, Good Samaritan in Kearney has once again earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that sets standards for excellence in patient care.
