Several teams made statements over the last week of April, but perhaps none was bigger than Gull Lake’s –– a rivalry victory over Division 1 No. 3-ranked Portage Central. The Blue Devils also earned another state-ranked victory in the past week, surging them atop the latest Kalamazoo-area power rankings.
WMU football set to add Big Ten quarterback from transfer portal

Quarterback Broc Lowry, who redshirted last season at Indiana, publicly announced his commitment to the Broncos on Monday, just a day before the NCAA’s spring transfer portal cycle closes.

Broc Lowry has committed to Western Michigan in the Mid American Conference. The former Canfield quarterback went into the transfer portal after playing one season at Indiana where he threw one pass. He lead the Cardinals to the Division III State Championship in 2022.
