I’ve lived in Liverpool my entire life and participated in Memorial Day parades in the village since childhood. At most of those parades, I saw with my Dad, Garrey Curry, as the parade marshal, running the route making sure everyone and everything was good to go. He worked hard putting the parade together, he started not long after he hung up his red Santa suit. However, what happened before the parade was the tradition he held most dear.

WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) On Friday, May 3, I broke one of the cardinal rules of a professional theater critic, I went to the show in a bad mood. Other no-no’s are asking for a free third ticket, showing up late, leaving at intermission, being seen on your phone, and getting drunk at the opening night party. I realized after I sat down that I was feeling a bit surly, and depressed and perhaps it wasn’t my best decision to be there. No matter, though-because the glory and warmth of Syracuse Stage’s production of Once quickly erased all negativity. This is an accomplishment.
