A body was found in a vehicle that crashed into a Peters Township reservoir Friday morning.

Crews were called around 12:35 a.m. to Boone Reservoir in Peters Township after a resident heard a speeding car on Sherwood Drive and a loud crash, Peters Township police say.

Officers found a guiderail heavily damaged on Waterdam Road and debris in Boone Reservoir.

First responders found a vehicle about 160 feet from the shore in eight feet of water, police say.

A Channel 11 photographer captured exclusive video of rescuers in a boat during the recovery effort.

First responders with an underwater drone and divers were called. They secured a towing line and the vehicle was brought to shore.

The coroner was called after a person was found dead inside. She was later identified as Jessica Williams, 44, from McMurray.

The incident is under investigation.
