Man killed in crash at Highland Ave. and Queen St. in Kinston, streets closed
KINSTON, Lenoir County — One man was killed in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Highland Ave. and Queen Street in Kinston May 15, 2024. Surveillance video from the scene shows a vehicle speeding through the scene, striking another vehicle. Approximately 14 seconds afterward, Kinston Police Department vehicles can be seen arriving.

Kinston police seek help to identify suspects in grocery store thefts
The Kinston Police Department is seeking the public's help to identify persons of interest for reported thefts that occurred at Food Lion and Aldi. Two teens and a young adult injured in Kinston shooting
KINSTON, Lenoir County — On Monday, May 13, 2024 at approximately 9:20 p.m., members of the Kinston Police Department responded to a report of individuals that have been shot near the 300 block of S. Davis St. in Richard Green Housing Complex. Upon arrival officers located two female juveniles ages 13 and 15 suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to ECU Medical Center, where they remain in stable condition. While detectives were at the scene investigating, they were called to UNC Lenoir Hospital, where a third victim had arrived and was seeking treatment. The third victim was identified as Rayshon Aytch, 20, of Kinston.
